The long awaited modernized version of The Muppets finally revealed itself to us last Tuesday September 22nd 2015 and it definitely didn't disappoint. With its "Office" TV show like feel, The Muppets give us a "show-within-a show" presence with a single camera - documentary style of filming. The series is its first ongoing prime-time network television series since Muppets Tonight aired in 1998.

Last week's episode also marks the anticipated moment we met Denise, who happens to be Kermit's new girlfriend and also Head of Marketing on Up Late with Miss Piggy. Kermit has been quoted that they met and hit it off because she was one of the people who had the idea for the Muppets to do a new show. Kermit also admits he's got without a doubt, "a thing for pigs because he finds their curly tails attractive." I couldn't agree more...Denise is HOTTT!!! I don't know how Kermit does it--first a blonde haired pig and not a reddish-brown one! Damn he's lucky!!! So want to see where this relationship goes!

And finally, an issue that was raised on the show, that I find very serious and must be discussed more....Bears dating. Its hard finding someone out there to begin with--heck its hard for me and I'm a cow! I can't imagine what Fozzie Bear must be going through. You hear a lot in the news, bears invading others backyards and diving in pools. They get a bad rap! However for Fozzie's on screen girlfriend played by Riki Lindhome she is willing to see beyond all that.
I really thought it was cool that The Muppets went back to their roots and are hitting their target audience of 18 and older. There aren't any inappropriate elements to the show, so kids younger can watch, but its definitely catering toward everyday experiences adults face, without being too awkward for children.
Okay guys, tonight-- 8am-Easter Standard time--another episode of The Muppets---Don't miss it!
I'm outta hea!
